'Twas the Night before Christmas
by Magik Theatre

Nov. 18 - Dec. 30, 2016
Tuesdays-Sundays

The Magik Theatre presents ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas by Tony award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig. Ludwig has written six Broadway plays, including the famous farceLend Me a Tenor. His first play written for young audiences, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmasdebuted at the Adventure Theatre in Maryland in 2011. The play is an irreverent romp that begins with the famous Christmas poem but quickly veers off course, much to the audience’s delight! Not a creature was stirring...or was he? Amos the mouse stirs up plenty of excitement as he and his friend Emily fly off on a snowy adventure to the North Pole in an attempt to save Christmas from an evil ex-elf who wants to sell the naughty and nice list. They only have a few hours to save the day, but matters get really confusing when Amos’ twin brother, also named Amos, arrives for a visit. Will they save the day? And more importantly, meet everyone’s favorite celebrity – Santa! This production is recommended for children ages five and up and runs approximately one hour with no intermission.

To date the cast and production team for ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas includes: Dylan Collins (Sir Guy of Gisbourne and Uncle Brierly), Richard Solis (Mulch, Wendell Sneed, and Santa Claus), Rosa Gardner (Calliope and Britannia Sneed), and two other artists to be named later in the roles of Emily and Amos the mouse. Directed by Ariel Rosen, scenic design by Christopher M. Boneta, lighting design by Joe Cooley, costume design by Susie Hamilton, props design by Richard Solis.
