Tiger's Heart, Woman's Hide
by Stephanie Donowho and Nell McKewon

May. 08 - May. 10, 2015

WHORE, WITCH, OR SAINT? Whatever their source, Joan of Arc’s powers are undeniable. After Henry V’s death, one teenage girl leads the armies of France to reclaim her homeland from the English invaders.

FROM "GENTLE PRINCESS" TO "RUTHLESS QUEEN": Captured as Joan of Arc burned, Margaret of Anjou was sent across the sea to marry a king she had never met. Soon she was leading the country that she claimed as her own.

Shakespeare’s Henry VI plays are dense and rarely performed. So we stripped the trilogy down to its most interesting element: the stories of these two powerful and complex female warriors. 30 minutes of Joan; 30 minutes of Margaret. No set. Few props. And two actors.
