Thomas Was Alone
by Uh Theatre Company

Apr. 03 - Apr. 06, 2014

Uh Theatre Company proudly presents “Thomas Was Alone: A Play Adaptation”, based on the hit Indie 2D platformer puzzle game from BAFTA Award-winning game developer Mike Bithell! Join Uh Theatre Company for the world premiere of this new work!

The play fuses together multiple disciplinary art forms of movement and fight choreography and theatrical play to tell an epic tale about artificial intelligence (AI) systems. The story focuses on an AI named Thomas who, due to a glitch in programming, has suddenly gained sentience and seeks to explore and venture into the outer world. Along the way, Thomas encounters several other AIs who embody various shapes, sizes, and personalities. Through the use of friendship, collaboration, and a bit of luck, the AIs combat the increasingly dangerous reality surrounding them and the programmers in charge to create an escape.
