PETRA AND THE WOLF - A Texas-Based Adaptation of Peter & The Wolf by Prokofiev

Written and Directed By Caroline Reck of Glass Half Full Theatre
Featuring Austin’s own MOTHER FALCON!
Stateside at the Paramount

Best for 2nd – 8th Grade

After a successful run during our 2015-2016 season, the world premiere of Austin-based Lionheart Youth Theatre’s, Petra & the Wolf: A Texas-Based Adaptation of Peter & the Wolf, returns to the Stateside Theatre. This production unites the music of Universal Recording Artist Mother Falcon with the critically acclaimed puppetry of Glass Half Full Theatre.

This new work inspired by the Prokofiev classic introduces young audiences to the journey of the fearless Petra. Her adventures are a showcase of female bravery and leave audiences walking away with a new sense of compassion and empathy. The show is a stunning piece of visual storytelling featuring magnificent puppetry set to a live score written and performed by Mother Falcon, a band NPR describes as “the little orchestra that can seemingly do the impossible.”

UPDATE, October 20, 2016:

Petra and the Wolf is available for tours, represented by Holden Arts. Click here to see the presentation page with additional information, photos and streaming excerpts from the score by Mothr Falcon.
