Oliver's dad died, leaving a lot left unsaid between them. Now, with a ouija board tattooed on his tongue and an infection in his mouth that causes pustules, it seems like Ollie might finally have a means of finding closure from beyond. But the dad who haunts Ollie's mouth turns out to be many things to many people. Is he a surrogate father to those who need it — an affectionate, considerate, sports-'n'-burgers banter man? Is he a lost guru, with an intimate connection to the tides of life and death? Or is he a dangerous affront to love and art and the universe, tearing at the boundaries between them?
