Austin GospelFest

Apr. 20, 2014

This year’s "GospelFest" features special guest entertainers from across the state, along with theAustin Babtist Women's signature brand of high-energy production numbers.  Free burgers will be served from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed at 7 p.m. with the performance.

Created in 1986, the Austin Babtist Women have become an incredibly-respected charitable force, performing throughout the nation to raise money for HIV/AIDS, breast cancer and other charitable causes.  The troupe of five male actors take-on the personas of "little old church ladies" and stage elaborately choreographed, side-splitting routines - raising more than $7 million dollars along the way for regional and national non-profit organizations.

The Austin Babtist Women were originally created as a one-time charity performance, but demand for their shows has led to an almost-three-decade run of fundraising.  The troupe has performed on Broadway and in Las Vegas - and major cities coast-to-coast - continues to headline major events across the nation and produces four signature shows locally each year to benefit Central Texas charities.
