Dan Guerrero began his career in New York as a musical theatre performer, eventually becoming a successful Broadway talent agent representing many well know performers. He returned to his hometown of Los Angeles and became a "born-again Hispanic," fiercely working for more positive Latino images in the media as a casting director, writer, and independent producer of diverse TV programming. Guerrero also co-produced and co-wrote Lalo Guerrero: The Original Chicano, the award winning documentary about his late father, Chicano music icon Lalo Guerrero. The film aired nationally on PBS stations in the Voces series hosted by Edward James Olmos.

¡Gaytino! travels through decades of Mexican-American/Chicano history, and the gay experience, from a unique and very personal perspective. This autobiographical piece plays with music and visual projections, appeals to all audiences with its universal themes: coming of age, self-identity, self-acceptance, a father/son relationship and a treasured lifelong friendship.
