Warm-hearted, irreverent, and brilliantly innovative, Crimes of the Heart is filled with humanity and humor as it follows the plight of three young Mississippi sisters betrayed by their passions. Lenny is resigned to spinsterhood as she cares for their ailing grandfather. Meg ran away to the big city to pursue her dreams. Babe, the youngest, married young. When Babe faces trouble with the law, the women must unite to save their youngest sister- and perhaps themselves in the process.  Winner of the 1981 Pulitzer Prize and New York Drama Critics Circle Award.
