We're excited to collaborate with the 𝗠𝗰𝗡𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 to share information about an exciting exhibit! Fans of Mary Poppins will want to check out 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗼𝗻: 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀, now on view at the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio through August 23. The exhibition celebrates the legendary designer who created the costumes for Walt Disney's original Mary Poppins film, bringing colorful flair to Edwardian England on screen.

 

Over his 40-year career, Walton earned an Oscar, an Emmy, and three Tony Awards for his imaginative set and costume designs across Broadway, London's West End, and film. Visitors can expect to see intricate costume sketches and sculptural set maquettes from productions including 𝘼 𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙮 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙪𝙢, 𝙂𝙪𝙮𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙨, 𝘼𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙤𝙚𝙨, and 𝙋𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣, offering a rare look at his creative process across stage and screen.
