Step into a world of wit, wonder, and vocal fireworks as OPERA San Antonio opens the season with Cinderella in a charming new production from Lyric Opera of Kansas City. Rossini’s take on the beloved fairy tale lets Cinderella shape her own destiny. With a sparkling score, outrageous comedy, and a visually playful production inspired by the style of Wes Anderson, this Cinderella promises an evening of elegance, laughter, and sheer musical delight.

A Cast Fit for a Fairy TaleRossini’s Cinderella demands artists who can conquer spectacular vocal feats, land every comic moment, and make your heart soar—and OSA’s extraordinary cast is ready for all of it! Acclaimed mezzo-soprano Daniela Mack leads the company as Angelina, our clever and compassionate Cinderella, opposite tenor Victor Robertson as Prince Ramiro. Grammy Award-winning baritone Will Liverman brings his signature charisma to Dandini, the prince’s valet, while audience favorite Patrick Carfizzipromises plenty of laughs as the outrageous Don Magnifico. They are joined by Stefan Egerstrom as the wise Alidoro, along with Katherine Henly and Lauryn Nelson as the vain stepsisters Clorinda and Tisbe. Francesco Milioto conducts and Michael Shell directs this visually playful, Wes Anderson-inspired production from Lyric Opera of Kansas City. |
