Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful tells the poignant story of Carrie Watts, an elderly woman yearning to escape the confines of her Houston apartment and the tension of living with her son, Ludie, and her strong-willed daughter-in-law, Jessie Mae. Fueled by a deep desire to revisit her hometown of Bountiful, Texas, Carrie embarks on a courageous journey. Along the way, she confronts the bittersweet reality that her beloved Bountiful is not as she remembers.
This captivating production brings to life the universal themes of memory, belonging, and the enduring search for "home." The talented cast includes Lisa Thomas as Carrie Watts, Josh Estrada as Ludie Watts, Jamie Ward as Jessie Mae Watts, Julia Chereson as Thelma, Barry Brass as Ticket Man #1, Tam Treviño as Ticket Man #2, Jordan Gaskamp as Roy, and Alan Hall as the Sheriff.
The creative team for this production features Ryan Schabach as Director, Torsten Louis as Set Designer and Scenic Artist, Kerry Bechtel as Costume Designer, David Gipson as Lighting Designer, Ryan Eisworth as Sound Designer, Alan Will as Technical Director and Stage Manager, Sherry Frank as Prop Master, Tam Treviño as Assistant Stage Manager, and Naomi Hill is on the Stage Crew.
