The Star-Spangled Girl
by Unity Theatre

Jun. 13 - Jun. 30
Thursdays-Sundays

Set in the vibrant atmosphere of 1967 San Francisco, The Star-Spangled Girl follows the lives of Andy and Norman, two idealistic young men who operate their apartment as a publishing office for a "protest" magazine. Their world is turned upside down when Sophie, an Olympic swimmer and quintessential all-American girl, moves into an apartment on the same floor. As Norman becomes infatuated with Sophie, hilarious misunderstandings and romantic entanglements ensue, leading to a riotous and heartwarming tale of love and friendship.

Starring in this delightful production are Troy Beckman, who made his debut with Unity Theatre earlier this season in See How They Run, as Andy; Nathan Wilson, a Unity returnee with credits including The Game's Afoot, See How They Run, and Crimes of the Heart, as Norman; and making her Unity debut, Olivia Swasey as the charming Sophie.

"We're thrilled to bring Neil Simon's witty and heartwarming comedy to our audiences," says Kate Revnell-Smith, Unity’s Executive Artistic Director. "It's a story that resonates with themes of friendship, love, and the pursuit of happiness."
