Future Landscape is the second iteration of a collaboration between Saint Loree Joan and musician Dan Patrevito. Pairing polka, a lively, quick-paced, jumpy song and dance, with the stillness and potency of Harold Pinter’s pause, Future Landscape explores the ever-shifting landscape of memory and its impact on our ability to connect.

A Rude Fusion project in development created and produced by Saint Loree Joan

Commenbts from the audience from previous Saint Loree Joan shows:

“It feels feral. It feels meticulously intentional and rigorous. It feels soothing. It feels weird and surprising, a much-welcomed elixir for coping with this loud, maddening world right now.”

“Saint Loree Joan’s work is like the perfect bagel; dense, delicious, and deceptively simple.”

“I felt like I was on drugs.”

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Saint Loree Joan is a group of Austin artists that creates sonically driven theater using found materials and text. The current body of the Saint for this production consists of members Anna Eisley (director), Marina Weikel Ramirez (performer), and Alyssa Trimble (visual artist). SLJ creates original work that is bold and explorative, and prioritizes rigor in experimentation and process over success and product. Searching for new ways to communicate complex ideas with grace and compassion is at the heart of all SLJ’s work.

Dan Patrevito:
Dan Patrevito is a multi-instrumentalist and visual artist, originally from Chicago, residing in Austin for the past decade. His work focuses on sustainable gardening, visual art with found materials and organic pigments, as well as experimenting with analog musical instruments and film. You can hear him playing in his current musical project, Dead Animal, on koop radio, or performing live at Butterfly Bar.
