Public Property
by Salvage Vanguard Theater

Nov. 06 - Nov. 07, 2021
Saturday-Sunday

A ninety-minute play written specifically to be performed in the park's Live Oak Meadow, Public Property follows the stories of twenty-one park-goers and their relationships to the past, present, and future of the park. It will be performed by an ensemble of actors who represent the many histories of Texas.

Pease Park Conservancy & Salvage Vanguard Theater, with support from Hyde Park Theatre, present a workshop production of Public Property by Laura Neill, directed by Braxton Rae.

Public Property: that's what a park technically is. But everyone who spends time at the park has their own individual story of that place, a belief that this land belongs to them. When part of the meadow is closed down, what happens to all the overlapping stories that have been interrupted?

Featuring performances by Kim Carlson, Sarah Chong Harmer, Kairos Looney, Allen Porterie, and Minerva Villa, with stage management by Morgan Randall.

Public Property was a 2021 finalist for Hyde Park Theatre's New Play Workshop and was developed with support from ScriptWorks Groundwork Grant and Revision Resource funding. Find more information about ScriptWorks at www.scriptworks.org.
