The Pirates of Puerto Rico
by Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance & Cultural Center

Dec. 12 - Dec. 13, 2020
Saturday-Sunday

In 2004 we wrote our 1st short-musical (no dialog!) about the adventures of Pirate Cofresi -- the Robin Hood of Puerto Rico (~1825) -- who stole Island riches back from the Spanish galleons and shared them with the poor.

Now, 16 years -- and 17 plays later -- the Pirates will return!

Sembrando Herencia has grown up to be a major production that brings history to life -- through an original play that combines live music, dance, community theater -- AND SWORD FIGHTING -- to honor Puerto Rico's heroes!
