Shakespeare's timeless and topical tragedy of race, love, jealousy, and betrayal gets a fresh presentation by the Poor Shadows of Elysium theater company, based in San Marcos. Othello contains some of Shakespeare's most compelling and iconic characters: the manipulative and egotistical Iago, the tortured yet determined Desdemona, and of course the Moor himself, whose trusting and openhearted nature Iago turns against him. Two nights only!
