Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play
by Trinity University

Feb. 16 - Feb. 24, 2018
Thursdays-Sundays

Join Trinity University Theatre for their production of Mr. Burns, a post-electric play, a dark comedy by Anne Washburn, with music by Michael Friedman. The production is directed Dr. Rachel Joseph and the third act will feature a live music headed by Zachary Ridgway of Trinity's Department of Music.

In a post-apocalyptic world, a group of survivors reminisce about and re-enact stories from popular culture, particularly The Simpsons. As the decades pass, Bart Simpson and his family become the mythology of an evolving culture. The show asks: will theatre be the savior of civilization?

The New York Times calls this play "so smart it [makes] your head spin" and raves that the show will "leave you dizzy with the scope and dazzle of its ideas."
