The Matchmaker, a classic farce by Thornton Wilder, tells a tale you might be familiar with.  It's characters and plot are the basis for the smash-hit Broadway musical Hello Dolly.

The cast includes David Remschel as the "half-millionaire" "Horace Vandergelder," who has recruited "Dolly Levi" (Amy Goodyear) to help him find a new wife.  They are joined by Mitch Mitchell and Justin Radkiewicz as adventure-seeking store clerks "Cornelius Hackl" and "Barnaby Tucker."  Tasha Rose Remschel plays Vandergelder's lovelorn niece "Ermengarde" and Derek Meier is her suitor "Ambrose Kemper."  Jem Goulding is the widow "Irene Molloy" and her assistant in the hat business, "Minnie Fay," is Michele VanFossen.  Ginny Shaw plays the eccentric "Flora Van Huysen" and Amanda Radkiewicz is her cook, while R Sheldon Boyce plays the gruff "Malacki Stack", Gianna Ret the barber "Joe Scanlon" and Ken DeZarn is both a waiter and a cabman.

The Matchmaker has been directed by Jeffrey Brown, and Sarah Distel is the stage manager.  The crew includes Emily Eubank and Colton VanFossen.

The Matchmaker is a true classic of the stage from the pen of a Pulitzer-Prize winning playwright - and it's the source material for one of Broadway's most enduring favorites.  Come find out why!
