The Department of Theatre and Dance is comprised of 400 undergraduate and 70 graduate students, 40 full-time faculty members, 10 full-time staff and offers a range of degrees. It is housed in well-equipped facilities, which include a black box, proscenium and lab theatres, teaching and rehearsal spaces, and state-of-the-art design and computing labs. The department is one of six programmatically integrated units of the College of Fine Arts, including Art and Art History, Butler School of Music, Landmarks, the Center for Arts and Entertainment Technologies and Texas Performing Arts, which provides the production facilities and much of the staff for departmental productions. The college is comprised on 2,000 students, nearly 200 faculty members, and as many staff members, and offers courses in fine arts to virtually every undergraduate student at the university.
