Pueblo Revolt

Pueblo Revolt is a comedy about two Indigenous brothers living under Colonial Spanish rule in 1680’s New Mexico. One is an inexperienced revolutionary, the other is a gay idealist. They must question their beliefs, morality, and what is necessary to ensure the survival of their people and family when the Pueblo Revolt of 1680 begins.

 


Ground Floor Theatre (GFT) is holding auditions for our Texas premiere production of Pueblo Revolt written by Dillon Christopher Chitto and directed by Carl Gonzales. Show dates are May 7 – 23, 2026 with rehearsals beginning in early April 

GFT will be accepting video submissions until Friday, Feb 13th, 2026 at 11:59 PM for local Austin actors only. In-person callbacks will be Feb 24th at 7:00 pm.

 Please submit a video of a monologue/reading that best showcases your strengths as a performer, alongside a headshot/recent photo of yourself and resume. Sides from the show will be provided if you are invited for a callback.

 All positions are paid a stipend of $1,000.00.

BA’HOMA (Male,Indigenous/Native American/First Nations)

Late 20s-Early 30s. A 20-something Isleta Pueblo. The older brother. An inexperienced revolutionary.

 

Feem Whim (Male/Non-Binary, Indigenous/Native America/First Nations)

Early to late 20s. A queer young adult and idealist from Isleta Pueblo. The younger brother.
