Lend Me A Tenor
by Hill Country Community Theatre (HCCT)
Nov. 04 - Nov. 05
This madcap farce is set in September 1934. The Cleveland Grand Opera Company is buzzing—famous tenor Tito Merelli, “Il Stupendo,” is set to perform for one night only. But when Tito accidentally takes a double dose of tranquilizers and passes out, chaos ensues! Thinking he’s dead, the opera’s manager convinces his assistant to don the costume and take the stage. The problem? Tito wakes up, gets dressed, and now there are two tenors, two divas, and twice the trouble!
Winner of 3 Tony Awards and 4 Drama Desk Awards.
A smash hit on Broadway and London’s West End, this screwball comedy promises side-splitting laughs from curtain to curtain.
