Brigadoon
by Playhouse 2000

Feb. 04 - Feb. 05

Brigadoon tells the near-fairy-tale story of two American tourists who stumble upon the mysterious Scottish village of Brigadoon, and soon discover that it appears for only one day every 100 years. Tommy, one of the tourists, falls in love with Fiona, a young woman from Brigadoon, and must decide whether to give up everything to stay, or lose her forever.

This gorgeous musical by the creative team that brought us My Fair Lady, Camelot and Paint Your Wagon, among others, ran on Broadway for 581 performances in 1947 and 1948, and even longer in London.  It was made into a massively popular motion picture in 1954 starring Gene Kelley, Van Johnson, and Cyd Cherisse.
