Disney's Newsies is a musical based on the 1992 musical film Newsies, which was inspired by the real-life Newsboys Strike of 1899 in New York City. The show has music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldman, and a book by Harvey Fierstein based on the film’s screenplay by Bob Tzudiker and Noni White.

Zilker Theatre Productions is excited to announce auditions for our 2022 production of Newsies!
Auditions are by appointment only. Please sign up for your preferred time slot.
Primary auditions will be held on Saturday & Sunday, March 12th and 13th, 2022. Callbacks are scheduled for Saturday, March 19th (by invitation, and in-person attendance only).
Newsies runs July 8 - August 13, 2022 at the Hillside Theatre in Zilker Park.
