This Tony Award–winning master comedy by Ken Ludwig delivers big laughs in a nonstop farce. Expect mistaken identities, outrageous surprises, and larger-than-life characters. You'll have a "suite" experience from the moment you walk into the theater! A night at the opera turns into a run-around, costume-wearing, zany farce with mistaken identities and a whole lot of laughs.

Lend Me a Tenor follows Max, a lowly production assistant with big opera dreams, who’s tasked with handling the world-renowned opera star, Tito Mirrelli, leading up to his American premiere at the Cleveland Grand Opera House. But when Tito becomes unable to perform, Max and his boss unfold an elaborate scheme to fool all of Cleveland with a Tito Mirrelli lookalike. One too many women start coming in and out of the hotel suite mistaking one person for another. The confusion leads to a madcap comedy that unravels a ridiculous plan on the verge of ruining careers and becoming a scandal that will rock the opera world.

“This has always been one of my favorite comedies. A revival of Ken Ludwig’s work is overdo in San Antonio,” says Blake Hamman, director of the play. “Lend Me a Tenor takes place in a hotel suite in the 30s, and we have ideas on how to bring the audience in on the fun. They’re going to feel they’re in on the experience the moment they walk into the building.
