Dear Jack Dear Louise
by Unity Theatre

Jan. 29 - Feb. 15
Thursdays-Sundays

When U.S. Army Captain Jack Ludwig, a military doctor stationed in Oregon, begins writing to Louise Rabiner, an aspiring actress and dancer in New York City, the two strangers quickly discover a connection that spans thousands of miles. As the war intensifies, their budding relationship faces challenges neither could have foreseen. Through humor, poignancy, and heartfelt honesty, Dear Jack, Dear Louise celebrates the courage to hope and to love even when the world feels uncertain.

Inspired by the true story of Ludwig’s parents, the play follows a tender, funny, and deeply human courtship carried out entirely through letters during World War II.

The production is directed by Andrew Ruthven and features Nathan Wilson, familiar to Unity audiences from The Game’s Afoot, The Star-Spangled Girl, and On the Exhale, as Jack Ludwig. Making her Unity Theatre debut, Jeana Magallon stars as Louise Rabiner.

The creative team includes Ben Stacker (Set Design), Ashley Fairchild (Scenic Artist), Kristina Hanssen (Costume Design), David Gipson (Lighting Design), and Ryan Eisworth (Sound Design).

Audiences are invited to experience this beautiful wartime love story that reminds us of the resilience of the human heart.
