Office Coordinator – Magik Performing Arts Center

The Magik Theatre is seeking an organized, creative, friendly, professional individual to manage day-to-day office operations at our northside location, the Magik Performing Arts Center (MPAC). This individual will report directly to the MPAC Manager. This position is currently part time.

Duties

  •   Assist with evaluation of existing programs and logistics on an ongoing basis and develop

    methods to improve program and service delivery.

  •   Maintain a clean office and facility appearance to ensure that MPAC is always presentable.

  •   Stay well-informed about educational and artistic programming for both locations.

  •   Act as a teaching artist and Magik representative as needed.

  •   Ensure accurate recording of students’ enrollment, payments and communication.

  •   Ensure proper waivers and releases have been signed and documented.

  •   Resolve customer service issues.

  •   Manage volunteers and rental managers.

  •   Assist the teaching staff with administrative tasks when necessary.

  •   Work with administrative staff in regards to inventory.

  •   Assist with marketing of classes, or with research and development, as needed.

  •   Assist with coordinating, marketing, and implementing education department events.

    Required Qualifications

  •   Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and standard social media sites.

  •   Able to communicate with parents and patrons in an efficient, professional, and friendly

    manner.

  •   Able to use standard office equipment.

  •   Able to learn relevant software as required.

  •   Work well with deadlines and under pressure.

  •   Attention to detail.

  •   Strong analytical skills.

  •   Photoshop or other graphic design software and Blackbaud Hosting experience a plus.

  •   Experience in teaching or arts education a must.

    Preferred Qualifications

 Previous experience in office management or registration management.

This position requires a flexible schedule. Required hours will include 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and may include Saturday mornings. Weekend and evening availability is necessary.
