Magik Theatre's HEB-sponsored Tour of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' to 7 South Texas Towns

For the fifth year, H-E-B has teamed up with The Magik Theatre to take literature and live theatre to schools around the South Central Texas region. With sponsorship from H-E-B, Magik actors Carolyn Dellinger, Sean Koch and Jeremy Zenor are presenting live performances of the original Magik work Jack and the Beanstalk.

Beginning in Beeville, the tour has gone to seven cities in far South Texas, and is finishing the month in Lytle, Kerrville, Pleasanton, Floresville, La Vernia, Donna, Alice, and Falfurrias.

The collaborative tour is a component of H-E-B’s Read 3 initiative, designed to encourage family reading. “H-E-B is deeply invested in the future of our children,” said Kimberly Harle, H-E-B Manager of Public Affairs. “We are proud to partner with The Magik Theatre to provide the children of South Texas quality performances that are engaging, enriching, and educational. The performing arts provide a unique, fun learning opportunity that inspires and challenges the next generation toward a lifelong love of learning.”

Magik Theatre founder Richard Rosen said, “H-E-B’s sponsorship makes it possible for us to expand our mission to nurture a love and understanding of theatre and literature by providing extraordinary, affordable, and professional theatre and education experiences beyond the theatre walls. We are grateful for their support and proud to partner with them.”
