ATX Theatres Offer Upcycled Treasures at Collaborative Sale, October 11 -12, 2025

ATX Theatre announces its 3rd annual Halloween Costume & Thrift Sale, Saturday & Sunday, October 11th and 12th, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the Memorial United Methodist Church gym — all the way in the back of the driveway at 6100 Berkman Drive in Austin.
"This sale rolls out a festive, local vibe. Think funky thrift store mixed with Austin's beloved Lucy in Disguise costume shop — R.I.P., Lucy's!" mused Sharron Anderson, the native Austinite who founded ATX Theatre.
Costume designer and local theatre producer Jennifer Davis partners with ATX Theatre to organize the sale. She welcomes fellow crafters to visit this year's sale, "In addition to costumes and clothing, shoppers will find lots of accessories this year, a jewelry vendor, as well as supplies for those who like to sew. We'll even have a sewing machine or two up for sale."
Austin is known for its creative spirit, and this collective sale embodies that. Anderson nods, "We want to ensure that the wardrobe and costuming items that our film and theatre industry uses have extended life after their good service in the arts. As more film and TV projects make their way back to Texas, we expect this to grow into a year-round thrift store," she says with fingers crossed.
Bonuses for attending: Local shoppers who are new to ATX Theatre will receive a printed theatre guide for the week after the sale. (There are twelve shows available to see this weekend, and next week there will be thirteen!) Current ATX Theatre members receive a free ATX Theatre t-shirt with a purchase of $20 or more ~ while supplies last.
Becoming a member of ATXtheatre.org is always FREE, and entitles members to the weekly theatre guide in their inbox.
