Austin Underground Collective creates immersive musical theatre experiences that pull audinces beneath the surface of familiar stories and into the raw, complicated spaces where people collide. We tell stories that simmer, unravel, and refuse easy answers - stories driven by desire, power, obsession, and the cost of wanting excess.

We exist for the work that lives in the shadows of traditional musical theatre: intimate, provocate, and emotionally charged. Our productions blur the line between performer and audience, inviting you inside the world of the play rather than observing from a safe distance.

As a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, we are deeply committed to bold, inclusive, storytelling that uplifts women, LGBTQ+, disabled, minority, and historically underserved artists and designers. Equity is not an add-on to our process, it’s the foundation.
