Reaching out to my Austin friends to help us find a few more actors for Persephone. It is a world premiere romantic comedy by Mick D'arcy and Tyler Mabry, directed by Matt Patterson. The music is really fantastic, and the book is moving and funny. It opens the end of March.

We would ideally like to cast actors of color who can sing well. While I am willing to consider white actors, I believe that the show will be better with a more ethnically diverse cast. We need 2 men and one woman to replace actors who had to pull out of the show at the last minute. One of the male roles is a lead (Hades), the other male role is chorus, the female role is one of the maiden Kore (supporting role). There is compensation, glory, and love. And it is a world premiere musical!!! I have reached out to a number of actors of color who have been recommended, but perhaps some of my many friends know someone who does not have a show right now.

We really need someone who can start rehearsing asap. Send them to me. My email is bonniecullum@gmail.com.
