The Guadalupe Seeks Talented Young Performers for Summer Youth Theatre Company !!
Grupo Animo is the resident youth theatre company of the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center. The company consists of 15 – 20 adolescents from all backgrounds and areas of San Antonio. Under the guidance and mentorship of a professional teaching artist and director, company members will learn about the history of Latino Theatre, develop skills in all disciplines of stage performance as well as playwriting and technical theatre, and produce a final theatrical production in the historic Guadalupe Theater.
Participants must be entering 9th – 12th grade and be able to meet 2-3 times per week in the after-noon June 15 – Aug 16th.
What is necessary is a creative spirit, an open mind, a commitment to the program and a passion for theatre, writing, storytelling, movies, music, acting, dance and more !
