Journey into the Wild West, 1890 in this classic story of good versus evil, law versus the gun, one man versus Liberty Valance. A tale of love, hope and revenge set against the vicious backdrop of a lawless society.
 
When a young scholar from New York city travels west in search of a new life he arrives beaten and half-dead on the dusty streets of Twotrees. Rescued from the plains, the town soon becomes his home. A local girl gives him purpose in a broken land, but is it enough to save him from the vicious outlaw who wants him dead? He must make the choice: to turn and run or to stand for what he believes, to live or to fight; to become the man who shot Liberty Valance.

We are so excited for our July 8 - 30 production!  We all know the 1962 movie starring John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, and Lee Marvin.  The movie was based on a short story by Dorothy M. Johnson.  It recently was adapted as a stage play and we are going to be one of the first theatres in the country to produce it.    Auditions are May 14, 2016 at 11 a.m.   Setting: The Prairie Belle Saloon Time: 1890 and 1910   Characters:    Ransome Foster: A man from the East Coast Hallie Jackson: A woman from Twotrees, proprietor of the Prairie Belle Bert Barricune- A cowboy and gunslinger Jim 'The Reverend' Mosten- A young black swamper at the Prairie Belle Liberty Valance- An Outlaw and leader of a gang Marshal Johnson- The local authority in Twotrees Jake Dowitt- A young reporter for the Chronicle The Gang- Some of Liberty's Boys The Marshall's Deputies Townsfolk   All roles are available.  Please note that we are looking for an African-American actor to play Jim.  It is an excellent role as Jim is the heart of Twotrees and the story.   Scripts are available to check out.  Please call Sarah at 367-5121 if you have any questions.  If you cannot come on May 14th, please call before the 14th to make alternate arrangements.     If you would rather be audience, tickets are available for purchase now.   We look forward to seeing you!
