We are casting for five short plays, each running 20-25 minutes.
Hereafter, The Company by Alexa Ziegler: Diane, the ruthless new employee at a strange corporation, pushes the established team into a higher level of danger to achieve her dream.

LAGOMORPHIA by Sarah Waddle: Lagomorphia follows the myth of Daphne and Apollo, exploring the world through the lens of a young woman made accutely aware of how it feels to live in a world where she has been marked for consumption by the ruling class, pursued by men.

Metronome by Marcus Delzell: A nervous poet and a level-headed therapist meet for dinner, but as their conversation deepens, the boundaries between date and interrogation begin to blur.

The Ash Demons by Valerie Conrad: After years of trying to cure her demon-born daughter, a woman visits an alternative medical practice based on alchemy. She soon discovers that the truth behind her daughter’s condition is far more painful and unsettling than she’s prepared for.

CATHERINE – Rude, obnoxious, insecure woman. Deeply upset by behavior she deems abnormal. Resents her "daughter" for being born a demon, unable to fit into regular human society. Smoker. 30s or 40s.

AZALEA – Goat-horned, non-verbal demon woman who secretes ash from her skin, "daughter" of Catherine. Her appearance and mannerisms are similar to a wild animal, and overall have an uncanny quality. Early 20s looking.

THE SCARAB – Esoteric, mystic woman who owns a medical practice based on alchemy and related alternative medicine. She uses long-winded, jargon filled explanations to assert her authority and conceal her snake oil salesman nature. Any age.

NADIA – Nurse who formerly worked in a psychiatric hospital who joined The Scarab's practice due to disillusionment with the orthodox medical system, following countless patients dying due to bureaucracy and understaffing. Any age.
THE VINELAND Episode 1: "Pilot" by Alessio Franko: In this sitcom about life at Chicago's oldest housing co-op, a group of rebels, misfits, and slackers must overcome their differences to foil a real estate developer's plot to buy their beloved house from under them.

LOU FERGUSON (60s) – hates irregularity, loves youth culture. The Vineland's oldest and longest-running member, his curmudgeonly demeanor is tacitly permitted (if taken seriously at all).

SAMIRA (30s) – hates men, loves eastern spirituality. A yoga instructor and outspoken co-oper unafraid to rock the boat.

ALVIN (30s) – hates capitalism, loves baking. Always organizing (or trying to) and holds the house accountable to its own rules.

ROWAN (20s) – hates climate change, loves being outside. Keeps the vibes excellent, but isn't as good at tackling her own problems.

ROWAN'S BOYFRIEND (20s) – hates responsibility, loves eating. Doesn't live at the Vineland, but shows up at mealtimes.

TAILS (20s) – hates cops, loves fire. Gender nonconforming, punk patch jacket, doesn't talk much.

MANON (30s) – hates America, loves music. Parisian DJ transplant who came here for school and won't admit she still likes it.

CATHLEEN (20s) – hates violence, loves Jesus. The Vineland's newest member, a small town girl in way over her head.
