The Astronomer's Dream
by Austin Community College
Apr. 02
An adaptation of Georges Méliès’ 1898 silent film THE ASTRONOMER'S DREAM [La lune à un mètre]; an astronomer, lost in study, drifts into sleep beneath a silent sky. In their dream, the Moon awakens, and from the stars emerge celestial entities that dance and unsettle, turning wonder into chaos, until eventually the dream comes to an end.
