Scene from Mystic River
by UT Directors Workshop
Jan. 20 - Jan. 30
A stage reinvention of a scene from Mystic River (2003), exploring themes of brotherhood, trauma, grief, and justice. This scene will be performed live in Austin for fellow UT student filmmakers and faculty professionals, all of whom will be directing, casting, or producing films on an ongoing basis for the next few years.
Looking for:
Sean: Male, (35-45), a good cop, a good friend, hoping to redeem the horrors of his past by finding some kind of justice…but can you really save anyone?
Jimmy: Male, (35-45), ragged, desperate, and defeated after the loss of his daughter, drowned in the hauntings of his past…what lengths will he go to for just a little peace?

About Me
I have been making films for 5 years with an emphasis on documentary, realism, and narrative documentaries. I am also pursuing a Bachelor's in Social Work, and I am dedicated to using the power of storytelling to enact positive change for not only the audience but the storytellers and the subjects. My most recent work was a short documentary in Parma, Italy, which can be viewed here. I am excited to work with you on this powerful scene and reinvent it together.
