Anastasia
by Central Texas Theatre (formerly Vive les Arts)

Jan. 11 - Jan. 12 (2026)

Anastasia is a Broadway musical with a book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty, and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, based on the 1997 animated film. It tells the story of Anya, a young woman in 1920s Paris who searches for her past, believing she might be the lost Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia, while being pursued by a Soviet officer. The show follows her epic adventure with a con man and an ex-aristocrat as they help her find her identity, love, and family, featuring popular songs like "Journey to the Past" and "Once Upon a December".
