A woman in her mid-30s is going through a cancer scare and while trying to navigate the process and her emotions, hilarity ensues.
She’s searching for hope, the doctor’s searching for the cervix. Both feel out of reach.
Yes vaginas will be talked about (not shown).

Call Backs: Call backs will be held the following evening on 11/20/25, same address, time, and room #. Callback invites will be sent out the evening of 11/19 after auditions. Call backs are in person only.
Show Date: Exact date TBD, Mid-Late January
Rehearsals: A table read will be scheduled in November given actors' availability. Rehearsals will be in December-early January. Possible rehearsal days are Thursday-Sunday. We will have 5 rehearsals + a tech rehearsal. All actors MUST be present for tech in mid-January(TBD). Frontera Fest will set our tech date.
We’ll collect everyone’s rehearsal availability at auditions.
Self-Tapes: If you cannot make the audition and still would like to be considered, please mark that on the sign-up form. The deadline for self-tapes is 11/17 at 10 PM.

Demographics: 50-60s, Cis Male, White

Description: Confident, highly educated “lawyer type” in a suit. Cool demeanor, with a slightly dark edge. A commanding presence with a knack for storytelling and subtle menace.
Rosie

Demographics: Mid 30s, Female

Description: Normally bubbly, warm, and confident, but currently stressed to the max. Quick-witted, funny, and appreciative of others’ help. Strong comedic chops with a talent for physical comedy.
Beth

Demographics: Mid 30s, Female

Description: Razor-sharp and outspoken. First to call out red-pill nonsense and defend her friends. Smart, curious, and funny, with no fear of confrontation. Slightly awkward with physical affection, but quick to offer a handshake.
Dr. Ponytail

Demographics: 40s+, Male, White

Description: A clueless, hippie type, rocking a ponytail and his lab coat. Means well but misses the mark when it comes to women’s comfort. Needs strong comedic timing.

Description: Tries to sooth with soft, comforting words, but only manages to make things worse. Should have strong comedic instincts and improvisational skills.

Description: A pushy creep who tries (and fails) to hit on Rosie. Lacks self-awareness, imposes himself physically without consent (e.g., touching her thigh).

Description: A no-nonsense attitude, minds their business but doesn’t put up with crap. Outspoken when needed, direct, and to the point. Impov actors strongly encouraged to audition!
Receptionist

Description: A relentlessly cheerful, aggressively upbeat presence, sunshine in human form. Does not read the room and their upbeat attitude can become annoyingly overdone.
