Auditions for 2025-2026 season of Opera San Antonio - THE MAGIC FLUTE and THE BARBER OF SEVILLE.
OPERA San Antonio is excited to announce auditions for the 2025/26 Season, in addition to opportunities for Education and Outreach performances. We are pleased to invite you to the auditions. Below you will find the official audition notice with details including dates, times, and location information.
Audition Dates:
Friday, May 30th from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Saturday, May 31st from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Parking:
Limited parking spots are available. There is free two-hour street parking on Avenue A and McCullough.
Audition Requirements:
Please prepare two contrasting selections, of which one should be an aria, and one must be in a language other than English. Auditionees will be asked to sing one piece of their choice, and a second may be requested. A pianist will be provided. Please ensure that your music is in the appropriate key, and placed in a binder. Bringing a recent headshot and resume is encouraged, though not required.

Additional information:
Please review the tentative master schedules for The Magic Flute and The Barber of Seville. Please review and note the musical rehearsal and staging dates carefully. Choristers will be paid $15 per hour for rehearsals, $125 per performance, and will receive a parking pass for the Tobin Garage.
Auditionees will have the opportunity to be considered for comprimario roles in both productions, along with small roles and community casting opportunities.
Those interested in being selected for community and education performance opportunities must have availability to perform throughout the San Antonio area, Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
