Coney Island Christmas
by Unity Theatre

Aug. 27 (2022)

Weaving together nostalgia, music, and merriment, this is a holiday show for people of all ages and faiths. An older Shirley Abramowitz tells her great-granddaughter the story of when she was cast in the role of Jesus in her school’s Christmas pageant.  As a young Jewish girl, her immigrant parents are horrified and will not allow her to participate. This is a charming story of what it means to be an American during the holidays.

A comedy by Donald Marguiles based on the story “The Loudest Voice” by Grace Paley

Playing December 1 – December 18, 2022
Directed by Kate Revnell-Smith
