Scrooge, the musical
by Fredericksburg Theater Company (FTC)

Sep. 25 - Sep. 26 (2021)

In 1970, renowned writer/composer/lyricist Leslie Bricusse adapted the classic Charles Dickens tale into the hit screen musical Scrooge. Now available as a charming stage musical, Scrooge has enjoyed a hugely successful tour of England and a season at London’s Dominion Theatre. Included are six new songs not performed in the film. This timeless musical follows the plot of A Christmas Carol, in which the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes a profound experience of redemption over the course of a Christmas Eve night, after being visited by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.

Auditions for FTC’s holiday musical Scrooge will be held Saturday, September 25th at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, September 26th at 2:00 p.m. at the Steve W. Shepherd Theater, located at 1668 Highway 87 South in Fredericksburg. The production will be directed by Jeryl Hoover.

Actors must sign up in advance for a 5-minute time slot. To reserve a time slot, call the theater office at 888-997-3588.
