First Rehearsals:  Youth:  June 17, 2019.  Adults: June 22, 2019

Rehearsals will be held weekday evenings and during the daytime on weekends at TexARTS in Lakeway. The show will perform at the TexARTS Kam and James Morris Theatre, 2300 Lohman’s Spur, STE 160, Austin, TX 78734

Performances: July 12 – Aug. 4, 2018. Twenty performances are scheduled. Shows at 7:30 pm on Wednesdays - Saturdays and 2 pm on Sundays

 

All adult roles are paid. 

Performers of all ethnic and racial background are encouraged to attend. All roles open. Looking for versatile performers who sing and dance.  

 

Adult Roles
Oliver Warbucks, 40+ - Warm-hearted, stiff-collared billionaire: baritone (C-high F) 
Miss Hannigan, 40's, mean old drunken principal of Orphanage: mezzo (A-A flat)
Grace Farrell, 20's, beautiful secretary to Warbucks: soprano (A-high G)
Rooster Hannigan, Miss Hannigan's no-good brother, baritone (B-high G)
Lily, Rooster's floozy girlfriend: soprano (D- high G)
FDR, the President: baritone (C flat - E sharp)
Ensemble, 20’s plus to play various roles

Annie 11, orphan: belter, mezzo (A- high F)
Molly, littlest orphan, 6
Pepper, the toughest orphan, 12 
Kate, the next to littlest orphan, 7

Preparation

YOUTH:  Prepare a vocal selection no longer than 45-seconds in length.
No tape recorders may be used. No "a cappella" singing. An accompanist will be provided. Okay to sing from the show. Please bring accompaniment music.  In addition, please bring a resume and headshot.  Child actors can audition if they turn 7 before June 1, 2019. 

ADULTS:  Please prepare two 16-32 bar cuts of a song that is in the style of the show, (one up tempo and one ballad.) Okay to sing from the show. Please bring accompaniment music as well. In addition, please bring a resume and headshot.  Actors who would like to be considered for adult roles should be 18 years old by June 1, 2019.
