Passport to Iron City

You are a citizen of the last human city on earth. The year is 2563, and the city is a melting pot of cultures, and the experience ranges from very real to gritty to dramatic.
Seeking talented performers for “Passport to Iron City,” an innovative, extremely ambitious super-immersive project in Austin. The scope of this massive project with cutting-edge design will require a large cast to pull off. The potential is for four months work from January through April 2019 with a very high profile and full marketing & press push and lots of attention, especially during SXSW.
Shows will run six days per week Tuesday through Sunday. This set been elaborately & expertly designed in Austin. This project is tied into the release of Alita: Battle Angel, a major feature film by 20th Century Fox, so it will be very high profile and an excellent opportunity to perform for hundreds of people per week. This includes the opportunity to perform for many people in the industry weekly.
We are casting actors to fill a wide variety of roles all based around being citizens of Iron City, the last inhabited city on earth. The shows are immersive and combine elements of theater and escape rooms, so there will be lots of one-on-one interaction with audience members. Seeking actors comfortable with improv.
Role descriptions: female or male ages 18-60 diversity encouraged. Performers should be friendly, personable and outgoing, capable of maintaining character while interacting with audience members. Experience with immersive interactive alternative theater or escape rooms is a huge plus but not a requirement.
All actors paid hourly non-union rates.
Rehearsals will consist mostly of training sessions. Once we are cast we will have sessions in January. The week leading up to January 29th will be run-thrus and play tests. We go live on January 29th and run til end of April.
All meetings auditions, training sessions, shows will all be on site at Austin film studios 1901 E 51st St Austin tx 78723.
