Auditions for a role in The Unexpected Guest with Tex-Arts on Aug 25 through Aug 26.

AUDITIONS

TexARTS, located in Lakeway, TX, is a professional theatre company acting under a SPT-1 contract with Actors’ Equity Association. We hire union and nonunion actors.

Working for TexARTS is a large commitment, and auditioners must be available everyday for the rehearsal and production periods of a show. The production run includes four performances per week.

Rehearsal times are decided prior to the first day of most rehearsal.

Shows at 7:30 pm on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Rehearsals will be held weekday evenings and during the daytime on weekends at TexARTS in Lakeway. The show will perform at the TexARTS Kam and James Morris Theatre, 2300 Lohman’s Spur, STE 160, Austin, TX 78734

Contract
Some SPT1 Equity Contract Available
All nonunion roles are paid a stipend.

Preparation
Prepare one of the sides from the show or a monologue of your choice in the most appropriate style for the show and the character you are interested in. The show is performed with British dialects.

Breakdown
Seeking members of Actors’ Equity and nonunion actors.  All positions are paid.  Performers of all ethnic and racial background are encouraged to attend.  Equity members always bring your Equity Membership Card to auditions.

Casting: 7 Males and 3 Females.

Laura Warwick – late 20s-early 30s; Kind and caring. Richard Warwick’s wife.
Michael Starkwedder 30s-40s- Rugged outdoor look. Not polished but quick thinker.
Miss Bennett – 40s-50s – Organized, alert, and nosey. Runs the household.
Jan Warwick – late teens-early 20s. Excitable young man with an innocent sweetness about him.
Mrs. Warwick – 50s+; Commanding and alert with a strong personality.
Henry Angell – 30s – 50s; Manservant with proper manners but shifty untrusting personality.
Sergeant Cadwallader – 30s-50s; Poetic and soft spoken. Somewhat unobserving.
Inspector Thomas – 40s-50s – Good poker face with dry sarcastic attitude.
Julian Farrar – 30s-mid 40s. Politician with soldiery aspect.
Richard Warwick – 30s-50s. (no lines)
