Southern Fried Murder
by Navasota Theatre Alliance

Jul. 23 - Jul. 24 (2018)

Way down south in Dixie, there’s something’s rotten in the cotton! In the heart of New Orleans, wealthy (but cantankerous) family matriarch, Magnolia Capote, has summoned her money-grubbing family, including her four granddaughters who are all also named “Magnolia”, to dinner in an opulent hotel dining room. The subject of their meeting? The disposition of her will, of course.

When the elder Magnolia ends up dead, the family turns the hotel upside down hunting for treasure that will help interpret the instructions in the will. The hilarity of this dysfunctional, ‘Nawlins family will definitely have the audience dying, too (with laughter…of course). Mark Taylor (director of NTA’s “A Tuna Christmas” last December) directs.
