No Room for a Picture on the Blank Wall
by Hill Country Arts Foundation (HCAF)

Jul. 07 - Jul. 09 (2018)

Noted photographer Peter Bunther has it all, professional success and the love of his ever-supportive wife, Rosemary. All of this is abruptly interrupted when Peter comes upon the puzzling realization that one of his oldest pictures has become invisible to him., as has any recollection of ever taking it. Efforts by Rosemary to get to the bottom of Peter’s strange behavior  become thwarted by two members of the “Memory Removal Company” who, representing Peter’s growing dementia, arrive and proceed to literally and figuratively take apart his home and life until there is nothing left. At this final moment Peter realizes he has to fight for the person who is most important to him.

We are so excited to announce auditions for our upcoming production of “No Room for a Picture on the Blank Wall”. This is a touching look at how Alzheimer’s not only affects the lives of the people diagnosed, but those of the families left behind.

Casting calls for five men and two women of various ages—for many of the parts, age is flexible.

Auditions will be held 7/7/2018 at 11 AM and 7/9 at 6 PM. We will be doing cold readings from the play, and scripts will be available to check out a couple weeks before
