You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Revised) is a fresh approach to the all-time 1967 classic musical, based on the beloved comic strip by Charles Schultz. Sally Brown joins Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, and Snoopy in this charming revue of vignettes and songs. Two new songs, “Beethoven Day” and “My New Philosophy,” have been added to the twelve numbers from the original version, which include “My Blanket and Me,” “The Baseball Game,” “Little Known Facts,” “Suppertime,” and “Happiness.”

Auditions for FTC’s Summer Finale, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 9th and 10th, 2:00 p.m. at the Steve W. Shepherd Theater, located at 1668 South U.S Hwy 87 in Fredericksburg. All roles are available. Attendance to technical rehearsals, August 6th through the 9th is mandatory, as well as attendance at all performances. Performance dates are on weekends, Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s, starting August 10th and running through the 19th.
Audition Preparations: Please prepare 24 bars of an up-tempo Broadway standard. You may perform a song from the show if you like. Please have your song memorized. A pianist, CD player and the ability to play mp3 tracks will be available. A cappella auditions are strongly discouraged. Perusal copies of the script and a CD recording of the music will be available to check out from the FTC office beginning Monday, May 14. The check out time is for 48 hours. The theater’s office is located next to the theater at 1668 S. US Hwy 87. Office hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Audition Procedure: In addition to the song you prepare, you may be asked to sing a number from the show and read scenes from the script. You may also be asked to stay for a brief dance audition.

Sally Brown – female, Charlie Brown’s Little Sister
Lucy Van Pelt – female, bossy older sister to Linus
Snoopy – male or female. Charlie Brown’ pet dog
Schroeder – male, Beethoven-loving piano playing boy, the object of Lucy’s affections
Charlie Brown – male, older brother to Sally, nothing ever goes right for him
Linus Van Pelt – male, bright, blanket-carrying, little brother to Lucy.
